ViaKube presents at Cloud Club Denmark on multi-cloud Kubernetes architecture

Hi everyone! Today we had the pleasure of presenting at the Cloud Club DK meetup in Odense, where we shared our expertise on Kubernetes architecture and security practices as well as announcing our Namespace Manager solution. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow cloud enthusiasts and share our experiences with you all.
Topics covered
We delivered two technical sessions focused on multi-cloud Kubernetes setups:
- Scaling Beyond Borders: Architecting Multi-Cloud, Multi-Region KubernetesMartin presented a comprehensive overview of deploying Kubernetes across multiple clouds and regions. We shared practical insights from our experience, including challenges we’ve encountered and effective solutions.
- Unlock Innovation with Kubernetes without Compromising SecurityLars presented strategies for maintaining security while enabling innovation in Kubernetes environments. We demonstrated how we use Namespaces to isolate resources, enforce governance, and facilitate team collaboration within shared clusters.
- Namespace ManagerRobert introduced our upcoming Namespace Manager, a powerful tool we’ve designed to simplify multi-tenant Kubernetes management. This solution helps you create isolated namespaces with dedicated resources and access controls, enhancing security and governance across your teams.
Our presenting team
The presentations were delivered by us, the three partners:
- Martin BentancourSolution architect with over 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure and development across finance, telecom and robotics sectors. Author of the IBM Redbooks guide on WebSphere Application Server.
- Lars SvendsenSolution architect with over 20 years of global IT experience, working with both Fortune 500 companies and startups on strategy and transformation initiatives.
- Robert CopilauDevOps engineer with over 10 years of experience, focused on optimizing developer workflows and improving efficiency and reliability for organizations of various sizes.
Engagement and discussion
We were particularly pleased with the level of audience engagement. The Q&A portions generated thoughtful discussions about Kubernetes implementation challenges, especially around multi-region deployments and security practices. Participants shared their experiences and we exchanged insights on addressing common obstacles.
The event received highly positive feedback from our attendees. Here are some of their comments:
All-in-all a great event, but could have used an hour more to get through the agenda. Probably because of the amount of questions from the attendees.
I’m completely new to the field. It was a really good event, and if it were possible to see an example of how their system works, with code and such, that would be great.
Thanks again Christian Tvede for the opportunity to join the club! Everyone was so welcoming and open. This was my first meetup ever, but definitely not my last. The food and drinks were just a bonus :) Thanks again for a great event!
We’re incredibly grateful for all the feedback received. Attendees consistently highlighted the engaging nature of the presentations, the inclusive atmosphere, and the networking opportunities. Many mentioned they made new connections and appreciated the welcoming environment. We’ve taken note of suggestions like including more code examples in future presentations and possibly allowing more time for questions and discussion.
Venue
We’d like to extend our thanks to Tanken 16 for providing us with an excellent venue for both the presentations and networking.
Future collaboration
Given the positive response, we look forward to future collaborations with Cloud Club DK. We value the opportunity to contribute to the community and share knowledge that helps you improve your Kubernetes implementations.
